Yes, I know I've blogged the Brackenridge Park Golf Course before but, unique as it is, I thought it worth another quick mention, especially if you missed the last one. Brackenridge Park has been a part of San Antonio golf for more years than most people can remember. One of America’s historic 18-hole golf courses, Brackenridge was the first inductee into the Texas Golf Hall of Fame. It was also the original site of the PGA Winter Tour.
Brackenridge Park Golf Course, implausibly located close to the heart of San Antonio, is the anchor layout of the six municipal golf courses that comprise the Alamo Golf Trail. Originally designed by A.W. Tillinghast, the course has retained many of the somewhat incongruous, by today’s standards, square greens for which he was so famous.
