Play begins today at the TPC Players Tournament. The image above shows a happy Tiger Woods on the 18th green during the practice rounds at TPC Sawgrass in 2011. Sad to say, the happy mood did not last: he didn't make it past the first day of tournament play before being forced drop out through injury. If you've never visited Sawgrass, you've missed quite a spectacle. The Pete Dye TPC Sawgrass stands alone as the best in golf course design. Everyone knows about the fantastic 17th Island Green at the Sawgrass TPC Stadium Course but few have seen the rest of the course, except maybe when watching the TPC Tournament on TV.
