Doral has long been one of my favorite golf resorts. I first visited back in 2006 and played both the Blue Monster and the Great White. Back then, the Jim McLean Signature Course at Doral was just a dream, maybe not even that. In May 2009, however, the dream became a reality. The new design will, according to the man himself, Jim McLean, "offer a fair test of skill and shot-making." The first three holes on the McLean Course are consecutive par-4's approaching nearly 500 yards each, truly defining a new golf course which will ensure a great challenge for players at all levels. The new course includes design features that enhance aesthetics as well as course strategy. And, of course, there's the obligatory island green, the 14th. Tee complexes are placed to provide varying distances to challenge players of all levels. Would you like to know more? View my photo gallery of the Jim McLean Course.
