If you've been reading my posts, you know that I'll be heading down to the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort on the Florida's Panhandle in mid-April. The SGBR is, in fact, just one part of the northwest Florida coastal vacation destination known locally as the Emerald Coast. This area of Florida is a terrific golf destination. From Panama City Beach all the way to Navarre and Pensacola, you'll find many opportunities for great golf. The thing is though, I've spent more time in Destin and Fort Walton than I have in any other part of the world, with the exception of my home town in Tennessee and the little town in England, where I grew up, so I know a little bit about the area. Not only that, I love it down there. Golf aside, Destin and Fort Walton Beach have a lot to offer the vacationing public. Nice hotels and resorts; pristine, white sandy beaches; great food, lots of places to eat; and lots to see and do, including golf, deep sea fishing or just loafing around and working on the tan.
