Golf Courses in Arizona: golf in Arizona means hot, dry days, cool clear evenings and painted deserts. These are the images that come to mind when one thinks of golf in Arizona. But there's more, much more: Arizona is home to some of the most luxurious golf resorts and spas in the world: all the ingredients for a great vacation. Arizona golf courses are spectacular, challenging, and many are ranked among the best on the planet.
There are a half-dozen centers upon which the golf vacation industry has built its packages. These include Scottsdale, Phoenix and Tucson. There are more, of course, but these are the three locations most accessible to interstate and international travelers, and also where some of the finest golf courses in the US are to be found.
Scottsdale:
Scottsdale has much to offer the wandering golfer. Several world-class resorts with spectacular golf courses, along with weather that makes golf a year-round pastime, makes Scottsdale on of the premier destinations in the US.

Phoenix:
Even though I have listed Phoenix separately from Scottsdale, they are really one-and-the-same. Both are served by Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport and both are less than 30 miles apart as the crow flies.
Where to Play Golf in PhoenixGold Canyon
Gold Canyon is some 35 miles from Phoenix in the High Sonoran Desert and in the foothills of the Superstition Mountains.
Tucson:
Tucson is a true desert environment, and the golf courses there reflect that. The majestic Santa Catalina mountains and incredible desert sunsets provide the perfect setting for an ideal golf getaway. Lush green grass fairways contrast the stark desert landscape in a land where the sun almost always shines. In fact, they claim more days of sunshine than any other city in the United States and even in mid-winter the temperature rarely dips below freezing.
