The Arrabelle Resort Hotel Vail, located in the heart of the newly developed Vail Square, is a brand new, upscale hotel that, I think, sets a new standard in luxury alpine resorts. The hotel reflects the romantic heritage and ambiance of the European Alps, and was architecturally inspired by European cities such as Innsbruck, Prague and Salzburg. The Arrabelle Resort Hotel features 36 lavish guest rooms averaging 500 square feet each, approximately 50 additional condominium lock-off units, an extremely convenient location (it's just steps from Vail's Eagle Bahn gondola), a state-of-the-art RockResorts Spa and fitness center, and a variety of first-class amenities ranging from a rooftop pool to fine-dining restaurants to ski and boot valets.

Ski or Golf:

Golf: The Arrabelle is a part of the RockResort group, thus golf is available to resort guests on five of the local golf courses that comprise the RockResort Golf Trail – all championship courses, and all designed by some of the biggest names in the industry: Norman, Fazio, Robert Trent Jones Jr., etc., and feature some of the most spectacular holes of golf I’ve ever seen. Better yet, the ball flies father at 8,000 feet than it does at sea level – it’s true, really. So, if you’re looking for a golfing challenge with a difference, this is it.

The Golf Courses:

  • The River Course at Keystone (Hurdzan-Fry)
  • Keystone Ranch Golf Course (Robert Trent Jones Jr.
  • Beaver Creek Golf Course (Robert Trent Jones Jr.)
  • Red Sky Golf Club (Tom Fazio Course)
  • Red Sky Golf Club (Greg Norman Course)

Skiing: Vail is what skiing is all about, and the Arrabelle is a ski resort par excellence. Located just steps from Vail's Eagle Bahn gondola and the slopes themselves, you couldn’t do better. Want to enjoy a few extra ski runs or a relaxing afternoon at the spa? Let the hotel's Ski Nanny take the worry and stress out of your family vacation. The nanny will shuttle your kids to ski school, join them for lunch and/or keep them entertained throughout the day; and there’s no need to spend aprés-ski in your ski boots. Check your skis and boots with The Arrabelle's Ski Valet, located adjacent to the Eagle Bahn Gondola, and then head to the hotel's Great Room, where fresh snacks and a cold drink are a welcome end to a perfect day.

How to Get There: The best option, in my opinion, is to fly into Denver International Airport, then rent a car and drive over to Vail. It should take no more than a couple of hours and the scenery along the way is spectacular.
