Surrounded by the majestic Rocky Mountains and thousands of acres of national forest, Keystone Lodge & Spa, in Keystone, Colorado, claims to be “the perfect year-round mountain resort destination,” and I have to tell you that one can’t help but agree with them. Not quite as luxurious as some of its RockResort peers, the Keystone Lodge & Spa is a true, all-encompassing Rocky Mountain resort where you can indulge in every outdoor activity imaginable: Golf, Skiing, Fishing, Boating and Ice Skating on Keystone Lake. With 152 guest rooms and one of the largest, most up-to-date conference centers I’ve ever seen, it’s also the ideal location for a corporate convention, wedding or family gathering.

Golf: Although Keystone Lodge and Spa has two on-site golf courses of its own – The River Course at Keystone and The Keystone Ranch Golf Course, it‘s also a part of the RockResort group, thus golf is available to resort guests on all five of the local golf courses that comprise the RockResort Golf Trail – all championship courses, and all designed by some of the biggest names in the industry: Norman, Fazio, Robert Trent Jones Jr., etc., and feature some of the most spectacular holes of golf I’ve ever seen. Better yet, the ball flies father at 9,300 feet than it does at sea level – it’s true, really. So, if you’re looking for a golfing challenge with a difference, this is it.

Winter Activities: Keystone Lodge in Winter is one of those places most of us can only dream about. The Skiing is, of course, the premier activities, but there’s so much more from snowboarding to snowshoeing to cross-country skiing to ice skating and so the list goes on; you’ll never be at a loss for something to do. Even at night, you can enjoy night-skiing, tubing, apres-ski events, relaxing in a hot tub, and fine dining.

Conference Facilities:

The Keystone Conference Center, located directly opposite and within a short walk of the lodge, offers access to more than 100,000 square feet of meeting, exhibit, and function space. Groups of all sizes catered for and will enjoy a wide range of indoor and outdoor activities and restaurants recognized by ZAGATSurvey as the best in Colorado.

Awards and Accolades:

  • The longest honored resort member of Preferred Hotels & Resorts
  • Recipient of the AAA Four Diamond Award
  • One of Condé Nast Traveler's Top 50 Ski Resort Hotels in North America, 2004

History:

The History of Keystone Lodge and Spa is both long and interesting. It’s the story of a dream, a dream that would take more than 60 years to fulfill. Please, take a moment to Read the Story.

How to Get There:

The best option, in my opinion, is to fly into Denver International Airport, then rent a car and drive over to Keystone. It should take no more than 90 minutes, and the scenery along the way is spectacular.
