Royal St. Augustine Golf Course is, without doubt, a difficult course. I have to say, I’ve heard good and bad comments about it. I, however, found it to be good value for the money – it’s not easy to find a round of golf on such a course for less than $50 these days. You can’t walk this course; there’s way too much driving from green to tee. The fairways are extremely tight on the Royal St. Augustine Golf Course and even a well aimed drive can find trouble. It’s definitely a course for the low handicapper.

The 18-hole Royal St. Augustine course at plays a tough 6,529 yards from the tips for a par of 71, a course rating is 72 and a slope rating of 137. Designed by J. Christopher Commins, the Royal St. Augustine golf course opened in 2001.

Green Fees: $41 weekends, $37 weekdays, $28 twilight, includes cart; subject to change, so please check with the golf club for up to date rates

Where to Stay:

I suppose any of the hotels listed in my Palm Coast guide would work well, but I suggest you give the Holiday Inn St. Augustine Beach a try. I’ve stayed there a number of time and I loved it. It’s reasonable and close to the golf course: Compare Prices for nights at Holiday Inn St. Augustine Beach

How to get There:

The closest airport… well, there’s a couple of them: Jacksonville or Daytona. Both are served by a number of U.S. airlines, including Delta, U.S. Air, United, etc.
