Orange Lake Resort and Country Club: I can’t honestly tell you that Kissimmee is my favorite spot in Central Florida; in fact, just the opposite is true. Be that as it may, Kissimmee has a lot going for it, not the least of which is the fact that it's home to (besides the Mouse) Orange Lake Resort and Country Club and, in particular, the resort's two very visit-worthy golf courses. Both are famous enough in the area, but neither one has received the publicity I think they deserve. The Legends, though not one of Arnie’s signature designs (it was laid out by Arnold Palmer Course Design) is an enjoyable a round of golf as you could want to play – better yet, it’s a whole less expensive to play than some in the area. And the Reserve, a Mike Dasher design, is a fine companion to the Legends. So, it seems there’s always some sort of golf special running at the resort and, if you’re looking for value for money, I can heartily recommend you consider at least a couple days at Orange Lake Resort and Country Club.
Orange Lake Resort & Country Club is a beautiful, 1100-acre, full-service resort featuring three courses with 45 holes of championship golf that will challenge any skill level. You'll love the two championship courses — The Legends and The Reserve — along with an 18-hole walking course called Legends Walk, which is lighted for nighttime fun. Fairways wind throughout the Orange Lake property, so that many of its spacious and luxurious two-bedroom villas have wonderful golf course views. Orange Lake also has two world-class pool complexes, an 80-acre lake and white sand beach, racquet sports, basketball, a fitness center, and a host of other daily activities. Located just four miles from Walt Disney World Resort off Route 192 in Kissimmee, Orange Lake is as they say, “the perfect location for a Central Florida golf getaway.”
