The Copperhead Course at Innisbrook is rated by Golf Digest as one of the best resort courses in the country and is host to The Chrysler Championship, a PGA Tour event. The par-71 course plays over 7,300 yards from the Tournament tees and is a very stern test of golf with terrific greens. Tree-lined fairways and rolling terrain define the Copperhead course. From the back tees, it really is a challenge, even for the longest hitters. The Copperhead Course at Innisbrook is a beauty and a challenge and with its dramatic elevation changes and tall, old-growth pines is more characteristic of a Carolina layout than the usual Central Florida layout.
Course Specifications:
designed and built by Lawrence Packard, the 18-hole, par 71 Copperhead course plays 7,340 yards off the Champion tees for a course rating of 78.8 and a slope 144 – yes, that’s tough. With four sets of tees to make play enjoyable to players of all levels of skill, however, low scores are achievable (so they say), especially from the much shorter White tees where the course plays just 6,180 yards, though still maintaining its par of 71.
