There are more than 40 golf courses in Fort Lauderdale, which makes it an important golf destination. They include grand resort courses, semi-private layouts, and some of Florida's premier municipal facilities. Many of the Fort Lauderdale golf courses were designed and built by some of the greatest names in the business, including Joe Lee, Bruce Devlin, Robert von Hagge, Rees Jones, Raymond Floyd, Robert Trent Jones, and Tom and George Fazio; all of them maintained to the highest standards. But the real advantage of the golf courses in Fort Lauderdale is the tremendous range of excellent accommodations with rates to suit just about every budget. Then, of courses, there are the seemingly endless opportunities for entertainment off the golf course: the exciting nightlife, the cultural centers, dining options and, of course, some of the finest beaches in all of Florida. All of which makes Fort Lauderdale ideal, not just for a golf getaway, but for a family vacation too.

How to Get There:

The closest regional airport is Fort Lauderdale International Airport. The airport is served by almost all domestic airlines, including American, Delta, Continental, US Air, and United, along with several other regional airlines.
