This is where you’ll come for the sweet taste of stone crab claws and the lobster, both caught in Bahamian waters. There's none better on the island. Even the building is unique - a triple pyramid of wood and steel strong enough to withstand even a category four hurricane.
The Stoned Crab’s Master chef, Livio Peronino, can prepare a seafood platter that’s just to die for: grouper, conch fritters, and an assortment of shellfish. Or, if you love pasta, you can’t go wrong with Livio’s linguine al pesto with lobster and shrimp. Start with a zesty conch chowder, followed by lobster salad, and don’t forget the crab claws. Finish off your meal with an Irish coffee while you sit back and relax and enjoy the moment along with the spectacular view of the Taino Beach.
I visit these islands often and, no matter when I might be in Freeport, or what I might be doing, I always take time out to Taino Beach in general, and The Stoned Crab in particular: t’s that good.
