The Azalea Inn, Augusta, Georgia

The Azalea Inn, once one of Augusta's turn-of-the-century, old-world mansions is now a stunning Victorian Bed and Breakfast. Lovingly restored in 1995 and 1998 by the owners, David Tremaine and Andrew Harney, it offers its guests almost opulent Victorian surroundings so reminiscent of an era when it was fashionable to entertain lodgers.

David and Andrew began their search for a Bed and Breakfast inn with the highest standards in mind. That search lead to the Azalea Inn, Augusta, Georgia. "Our dream of entertaining a discerning clientele looking for intimate lodging had become a reality."

Everything is Close at Hand

The Inn, well within walking distance of Augusta's Downtown Business District, its Arts and Antique Shops and its many unique restaurants, features 21 guest suites, many of which have fireplaces, private baths with whirlpool garden tubs. All have 11-foot ceilings and some even offer glass sun porches. The interior is tastefully decorated with antiques and period furniture.

There's Lots to See and Do

The Azalea Inn is also only minutes away from Augusta's lovely Riverwalk, with its brick lined plazas, gardens, gift shops and restaurants all laid out along the banks of the Savannah River. Other points of interest are the National Science Center's Fort Discovery - a high technology interactive gallery of exhibits and theaters, the Augusta Richmond County Museum, the Historic Cotton Exchange Welcome Center, the Cotton Exchange Museum, and President Woodrow Wilson's Boyhood Home.
