Guide Review - The 2011 American Lung Association Golf Tour Book - The Lung Book
How could we not support such a good cause, especially when we can save so much money for ourselves in the process. For instance:
The Kentucky Lung Book costs only $35 and, so the blurb says, "provides our biggest and best discount package ever with savings at over 500 golf facilities! The package includes courses in Kentucky, Tennessee, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Ohio and Wisconsin. The book also offers valuable discounts at driving ranges and indoor golf facilities. All proceeds from the Golf Tour Book benefit the critical fight against lung disease."
Now I don't know about you, but those are significant benefits change no matter how you look at it.
Many states are even offering "buy-one-get-one-free" specials – for instance, buy your card at GolfDigestTeeTimes and you pay just $39.95.Now that’s a deal.
Actual privileges vary from state to state, most offer free or discounted green fees across the board as well as pro shop, club house and restaurant discounts.
Almost all states have reciprocal agreements with their neighbors - some are good for golfing discounts in as many 6, even 7 states - the Western US Edition takes in California, Washington, Oregon, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, Texas, British Columbia and even Hawaii. So, visitors to the US would be wise to shop around; the rest, well, my advice is to support your local community.
