The Wetlands Golf Club is conveniently located 2 miles off I-95 in Lafayette. The golf course meanders through some of Louisiana’s most beautiful natural areas. A so-called links-style layout, unique to Southern Louisiana, it features wide open fairways and gently rolling terrain. The often heavily-bunkered greens and ever-present water hazards provide a distinctive challenge. Water is in play on 11 of the 18 holes and that, coupled with the numerous stands of wild grasses that line many of the fairways, mean good shot-making is paramount to shooting a low score at the Wetlands Golf Club. The often over-size TifDwarf greens provide a different challenge: it’s possible to hit the green in regulation numbers only to find your ball 60 or 70 feet from the pin.
