Painted Desert Golf Club joins my list of Las Vegas golf courses as a one-of-a-kind experience. Lavish landscaping plays a large part in this stunning Jay Morrish layout. At 6840 yards, the course is a beauty featuring some of the most picturesque scenery I’ve ever seen. The layout features a great many dunes, that would seem more at home on the shores of Scotland than out here in the desert. The greens are undulating and often quick, but not too difficult to read, and they roll true.
The 18-hole Painted Desert course plays 6,840 yards from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 73.7 and it has a slope rating of 136. Designed by Jay Morrish, the Painted Desert golf course opened for play in 1987.
