I ran across this product a few days ago and was instantly hooked, gadget freak that I am. The ShotWatch is an innovative training and practice device for golfers. The idea is to build for yourself a better swing and then maintain it; it’s a swing trainer. You wear it like a wristwatch during driving range practice sessions, and even on the course during play, if you so desire. The ShotWatch helps you “develop swing consistency through instant feedback and muscle memory training.”

Here’s How it Works:

As you swing the club the ShotWatch records data: your swing speed, tempo and grip pressure. When you hit a good shot (I could say “the perfect” shot, but I’ve never hit one of those in my life so “good” it is), you simply press the “Save” button and the ShotWatch remembers the swing. Now, whenever you swing the club and it’s not quite what the ShotWatch remembers, its built-in signaling device alerts you. The instant feedback you get from this neat device facilitates muscle memory control and helps you to maintain consistency and thus stay “in the groove.”

I was always told by my teachers, and there have been many of them over the years, that to play well you have develop a good swing and then maintain it – it has to be grooved. That, my friends, as well you know, is tough to achieve. This cool gadget is designed to help you do just that, and I believe it really can work.
