Course Information:
Indian Wells Golf Resort - Celebrity Course
Open since November 1, 2006, The Celebrity, a par-72 championship course is the first of two new golf courses to be built at the Indian Wells Golf Resort. The City of Indian Wells supplied Clark with the original West Course property plus an additional 30 acres. Clark moved nearly 320,000 cubic yards of dirt to create an entirely new design. At the same time, he ingeniously used many of the mature trees from the West course. The result is a playable golf course within a beautiful setting.
The Classic Club
The host course of the PGA Tour's Bob Hope Chrysler Classic, the Classic Club is more than just another addition to the desert's roster of golf courses. This phenomenal Arnold Palmer signature design offers a variety of tee options that stretch the layout from 5421 to 7305 yards making it appealing to players of all abilities. Unlike most desert courses, Classic Club features rolling terrain, several elevated tees, and a core design with pine, olive, and pepperwood trees, offset by beautiful flowering shrubs. These features create a sharp contrast with the surrounding mountain vistas.
Desert Willow Golf Club - Firecliff
The two courses at Desert Willow in Palm Desert are just the beginning of what promises to be one of Palm Springs most exciting golf destinations. In the works are more than 1000 guest rooms, convention facilities, a third course, and a 700-unit vacation complex. Designed by PGA Tour player John Cook, Michael Hurzdan, and Dana Frye, the two existing courses offer an extremely fun challenge for players of all abilities. The Firecliff Course at the J.W. Marriott Resort is considered the tougher of the two and has received much recognition for its environmentally sound design and construction.
