Holiday Golf Club, located only one mile off Panama City Beach is a semi-private, 18-hole par 72 Championship Course. The fairways are open, the landing areas generous, sometimes to a fault, and the course is in great condition. The Holiday Golf Club course features a number of water hazards, elevated greens and three sets of tees which, I think, are one too few. As it is, it will play either a little too long or a little too short, at least for those golfers who have handicaps from 15 up. From the tips, the low handicapper will find the course a treat to play.
Holiday also features a lighted 9-hole Par 3 course, the only one of its kind in the area, designed with the entire family in mind, it will also provide a fun nine for low handicap players. There also an extensive practice area with an illuminated range range, practice chipping green, and large putting green.
The 18-hole Holiday Golf Club course plays 6,588 yards from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 72.2 and it has a slope rating of 132. Designed by Jim Dunkerley, the Holiday Golf Club course opened for play in 1968.
Green Fees: $75, includes cart; subject to change, so please check with the golf club for up to date rates
Where to Stay
Personally, I like the Watercolor Inn & Resort, Water Sound, Florida. A second option I can recommend is the Bay Point Marriott Golf Resort & Spa. Both are a little on the expensive side but, as always, you do get what you pay for.
