Guide to Panama City Golf Courses – Tom Fazio, Greg Norman and Jack Nicklaus

By , About.com Guide

There are not very many top-rated Panama City Golf Courses, which is surprising considering how popular Panama City is as a destination. Even so, those courses that do call this part of the Emerald Coast home carry some very big names: Tom Fazio, Greg Norman, Davis Love III and Jack Nicklaus included. The Panama City golf courses are a mixed lot. Some are extremely tough, some are relatively easy. From the incredible layout at Camp Creek to the innovative little Origins course, all of them offer an exceptional day out and a testy round of golf. Better yet, Panama City is easy to get to both by road or air.

Where to Stay

Personally, I like the Watercolor Inn & Resort, Water Sound, Florida. A second option I can recommend is the Bay Point Marriott Golf Resort & Spa. Both are a little on the expensive side but, as always, you do get what you pay for.

For more options that might better fit your budget you can check out the hotels listed in my Golf Travel Panama City Hotel Guide.

How to Get There:

The closest major airport is the Panama City Bay County Airport located about eight miles from Panama City. You can look for the best airline and car rental deals with these two aggregators, which provide travelers with an up-to-date search tool to compare prices on airfares and car rentals of all ratings.

And don’t forget: there are many other opportunities for great golf all over the world. Favorite locations include Scotland, Florida, the American Southwest, Bermuda, the Bahamas and many more. For up-to-date golf travel news and information, be sure to Subscribe to my weekly Newsletter.
