The second hole of the "Bear Trap," 16 is a par 4 of 434 yards. This is one tough hole. Water and dense scrub guards the entire right side of the fairway which doglegs/makes a sharp right turn around the lake some 300 yards out from the tee. The pros will carry the ball 300 yards to the dogleg, then fire the ball maybe 140 yards across the lake to the green. We mere mortals need to make the journey in three shots: a drive of maybe 240 yards, a lay-up shot left, and then a clear shot of maybe 80 yards to the green.
