The 3rd hole at Red Ledges is another par 4. It plays 468 yards from the back tees. The landing area for the tee shot is more than generous. The angle and the view from the tee box, however, tends to encourage the player hit the ball toward to the left side of the fairway, hence those two deep bunkers. As you can see, the fairway itself also slopes gently away to the left. The ideal shot, then, would be to aim right in the hope that the ball will roll left toward the center of the fairway leaving a mid/short iron shot into the green. To hit the green you'll need to fly the ball all the way in. Go short and there's no direct approach in; that bunker that guards the front edge of the green is deep and unforgiving. Go long and there are two more bunkers to contend with.
The green is undulating, but fairly easy to read; and, like all the greens at Red Ledges, it's fast and rolls true
