The 18th at Sweetgrass is called Seven Grandfathers. Potwatomi tradition tells of seven grandfathers that were given the responsibilty by the Creator to look after the people. They taught love, wisdom, responsibilty, respect, bravery, honesty, humility and truth. The 18th is a great finishing hole. A par 5, it plays some 550 yards from the tips. The right side of the fairway is guarded almost from tee to green by a large lake with cascading water falls. The play is to a huge double green, shared with the 9th, that's guarded to the front by the lake and to the left by a series of well-placed bunkers.
