The Cattail Golf Course at Whirlwind Golf Club, open since October 2002, is the perfect complement to the Whirlwind Golf Club's Devil's Claw course and host to the Gila River Nationwide Tour Classic in 2003 and 2004. The Cattail plays to more than 7,300 yards from the championship tees, and will require golfers to navigate over and around several water features and deep canyons.
The 18-hole "Cattail" course features 7,218 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 73.4 and it has a slope rating of 132 on Bermuda grass. Designed by Gary Panks. The course is managed by Troon Golf! Whirlwind Golf Club has the COOLWELL® G2 personal cooling system installed on all their golf carts!
