The Wigwam Golf Resort and Spa Blue Course plays just over 6,000 yards with a par of 70. Sound easy? Well… it’s not. This is a course where course management and shot strategy are the keys to a low score. Robert Trent Jones is well-known for his use of deep and perilous bunkers, water, lakes, ponds ponds and dog-leg fairways. The Wigwam Golf Resort and Spa Blue Course represents Robert Trent Jones at his best.
The Blue's signature holes is the much-photographed 15th, a short par 3 of just 140-yards to an island green. It looks simple enough, but it’s deceiving and there’s no doubt that many a match has been won or lost at this magic little tester. The 17th, another wicked little par 3 plays to a green built as a mirror image of the famous 16th at Augusta, one of the most famous holes in all of golf, and one remodeled in times long gone by the erstwhile Mr. RTJ.
The 18-hole Wigwam Golf Resort and Spa Blue Course features 6,085 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 70. The course rating is 69.3 and the slope is 122. Designed by Robert Trent Jones, and remodeled by Forrest Richardson, the Blue course reopened for play in 2005. Golf Solutions manages this facility.
