Florida Golf Course and Golf Resorts - The Six Regions
Jacksonville and the Northeast Coast There are more than 25 Golf Courses in the Jacksonville area: Jacksonville, Ponte Vedra, Amelia Island, St. Augustine, and on Florida's Palm Coast. The courses are easily reached via Jacksonville Airport and by road. The list of courses is extensive and includes some of the most famous layouts in the world, TPC Sawgrass, for instance. The consistently good weather makes Jacksonville an obvious choice for a golf vacation.

Destin and the Northwest Gulf Coast

The options for great golf on the Northwest Gulf Coast, and in Destin in particular, seem almost limitless: more than 1,080 golf holes all within a short drive of the Coast. But why drive even a short distance when there are more than a dozen great, public access golf courses close at hand? You could, for instance, play Regatta Bay, a public, 18-hole championship course designed by Robert Walker; or the Fred Couples Signature course at the Kelly Plantation.

Orlando and Central Florida:

There are more golf courses in the greater Orlando area than anywhere else in Florida. The past three decades have been boom times for the industry in this area. There are literally dozens of fine golf courses and resorts within 20 miles of the city center.

Tampa & St Petersburg:

The Tampa and St. Petersburg area is not just a Mecca for golfers, it’s a seaside paradise: On the shores of Tampa Bay, downtown St. Petersburg is the area’s cultural center in and around which there are more than 25 golf courses, and there are at least a dozen more in the greater St. Petersburg area.

The Southeast Atlantic Coast

The southeast coast of Florida, West Palm Beach to Miami, is one of the top U.S. destinations for golfers of level of skill. More than 20 Palm Beach golf courses featuring more than 360 holes of golf, and as many more in Ft. Lauderdale and Miami, are available, and the fact that they are, for the most-part, far away from the hustle and bustle of many other major U.S. golf destinations makes this area an ideal choice for a golf vacation.

The Southwest Gulf Coast:

From Sarasota to Naples more than a 60 amazing golf courses and resorts offers not only great opportunities to play and stay, but seemingly endless sunshine, pristine beaches and clear emerald waters of the Gulf of Mexico: what better place for a golf vacation?
