Review of The Golf Club at Brickshire, Williamsburg, Virginia
Review of the Curtis Strange Course at The Golf Club at Brickshire, Williamsburg

By Blair Howard, About.com

The say that “everybody loves Brickshire.” I can go along with that. The popularity of this four-year-old Curtis Strange signature course can easily be explained. The fairways are wide and inviting, the greens are true and quick, and… well, it’s pretty. And I’m not the only one that thinks that way. Golf Digest awarded the Golf Club at Brickshire 4.5 stars, and Golf Styles named the Golf Club at Brickshire one of the mid-Atlantic's "Must Play" courses.

U. S. Open Champion Curtis Strange excelled himself when he created this truly unique golf course. He decided to replicate some of his favorite holes from around the world: St. Andrews, Augusta National, Pinehurst #2, and Riviera CC. His signature 15th hole is a one-off, a lovely par 3 that that plays a whopping 244 yards from the back tee. It’s a par 3 you’re never likely to forget. The 18th hole, a long par 5 of more than 560 yards, doglegs endlessly to the right, skirting a lake that threatens to gather even the slightest wayward ball, was named one of the best finishing holes in the mid-Atlantic.

Green Fees: From $40 to $70, depending on the time of day and day of the week.
