Where to Stay - The Bear Trace at Chickasaw

By , About.com Guide

The Bear Trace at Chickasaw:
Located just 17 miles south of Jackson, TN on Highway 45, The Bear Trace at Chickasaw is one of the easiest-reach courses in the system. Unfortunately, there are no resorts in the area and, although there are numerous hotel choices in the Greater Jackson area, most are of the “motel” variety. The two hotels I’ve listed below will adequately meet your needs.
Holiday Inn Jackson-Carriage House:
The Holiday Inn Jackson is a full-service hotel, which means it has an on-site restaurant: important if you've just returned from a long day on the golf course. The hotel is typical Holiday Inn - you know exactly what to expect and can be confident that you'll receive rooms and service that meet or exceed the standard: clean rooms, good service, and all of the amenities required by the traveling business person, including high-speed Internet. I've stayed here a number of times and I can recommend it with confidence.
The Doubletree Hotel, Jackson:
Located in the city center of Jackson, close to the restaurants, the Doubletree is as good as it gets in most areas of rural Tennessee. There is an on-site restaurant, a fitness center, an indoor/outdoor swimming pool and whirlpool, and high speed Internet is available too. Rates begin at $98 per night for a room with two beds and rises considerably depending upon the season. The hotel is just 17 miles from the Bear Trace at Chickasaw.
